Mr. Mehta is a well rounded and
seasoned businessman with more than 20 years
of leadership experience, including global and domestic general management responsibilities. His diversified leadership encompasses strategic
and operational (P&L) experience in a
wide range of companies from Global 500s ( Digital - HP, Siemens)
to startups(Bootstraps as well as VC Funded).
Recently, he architected and led the M&A and private equity investment for Moai and Medebiz. Further he led and successfully executed merger, integration, restructuring, consolidation, rationalization, and turn around. In the process he has honed his innate skills, of due diligence, negotiation, deal architecting, as well as transformation. Investment group included HP, Intel, UPS, Merrill Lynch, Accenture, CIBC, Seligman, Reuters and Eastman.
For over 10 years, Mr. Mehta has been angel
investing, guiding, growing and managing several
high-technology companies. He founded Medebiz,
a health care supply chain solution provider;
American Hytech Corporation, a telecom/B.P.O.
solution provider; Netguru, a network management
solutions company, and Instaplan,
a project planning and management software
company. InstaPlan was founded in his basement during 1987, in collaboration with WIPRO was truly a first product company developed via a BPO model, pioneered by Mr. Mehta.
Previously, in a career spanning 10 years,
Mr. Mehta held key operating executive positions with
profit and loss responsibility at both Siemens
Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation
(now HP). He has built a stellar reputation
in BPO and Global Business management, multinational/OEM, channel
management, mass merchandising, and international marketing/operations and finance. He increased the market share in Japan, Korea, Australia, China and countries in Europe and South America. He won large ($15M to $75M) multi-national contracts with Olivetti, ICL, Marubeni, Mitsubishi, Shell, Nippon Sttel, Xerox, Ford, Chase, CitiGroup, American Express, Unilever and Reuters, Lucent, AT&T, NCR and various governments.
Mr. Mehta served on the board of directors
of the World Trade Center, CEO Forum, and
the Springboard Angels. He is an adjunct professor
at Carnegie Mellon University Graduate School
of Industrial Administration. In recognition
of his efforts and success, he has received
the US Small Business Administration Businessman
of the Year Award, along with several
other accolades/awards from the Department
of Defense and other agencies as well as various
industry associations and the press. He has
shared his experiences at speaking forums
throughout the world, including Internet World
Expo, Comdex, Mid-Atlantic CEO Retreat, Asia
Pacific Forum, The Indus Entrepreneurs, The
White House, European and Asian conferences, MIT,
Harvard, the New England Association of Medicine,
and Department of Commerce seminars.
